More often than not, monochrome photography is used to bring to light more graphic elements of the scene and create a sense of estrangement to the subject. Faithful color photography usually isn't used in this regard. The Technicolor series is a product of my attempt to replicate a sense hyperawareness and estrangement of and to the subject matter. It's also how I wish the world was. Vibrant, sunny and constantly cheerful. But alas, the world is not so.
